ABCD - ACTION AROUND BETHLEHEM CHILDREN WITH DISABILITY
Founded in 1985 ABCD is dedicated to improving the quality of life for children with physical, mental & psychological disabilities in Palestine - the West Bank & Gaza Strip. Over 350 children daily attend one of seven community daycare centres, sponsored by ABCD. Their Out-Reach programme helps further children who are unable to attend a centre – these children receive medical aids and financial support for vocational training & home education. ABCD funds training & upgrading courses for Community Rehabilitation Workers, sponsors Occupational Students at Bethlehem University and funds Palestinian students seeking paramedical skills overseas.
