AMOS TRUST
Amos works in partnership with forgotten communities around the world, including Palestine-Israel. Amos has strong links with many Palestinian Christians, especially with the Episcopal Bishop of Jerusalem, Riah Abu el Assal, and with both Jewish and Palestinian peacemakers. Through bringing over partners, their own first hand knowledge, and a wide email network, they aim to offer experience of and education about the situation within the UK. Director Garth Hewitt and Associate Director Sue Plater are both closely involved. Amos supports several projects in Palestine-Israel financially, focussing on the Episcopal Diocese (specifically Al Ahli Hospital in Gaza) and projects that link Israeli and Palestinian activists for peace. They have an extensive range of resources including books and music.
