‘Rediscovering Palestine’ exhibition will highlight the plight of Palestinian people, in their cultural and religious diversity, whose freedom continues to be systematically eroded, at an alarming rate and with dire consequences.
Monday, 28 August 2006 (10 am) - Dr Manuel Hassassian discusses:
Palestine - Where to? Prospects for a workable state of Palestine have continued to diminish, and humanitarian disaster looms, seemingly because of an exercise of democracy. Particular attention will also be drawn to the 'Separation Wall', its size, nature, human rights' contraventions, and implications.
High profile speakers, panels and films – details to be confirmed - to inform and create dialogue about the humanitarian situation; underlying theological issues, including both those that affect opinion and those that can be used to effect change; and the ever- present need for intervention by the International Community.
